Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, just minutes from downtown Colorado Springs, Colorado, is a beautiful conference center, ideally suited for a gathering of PG Retreat families.

Glen Eyrie Castle and Conference Center features over 800 acres of stately pines and whispering aspen, lush lawns, sparkling waterfalls and majestic sandstone rock faces. The air is alive with the sound of birdsong and breeze through the trees—often the only sounds of a Glen Eyrie afternoon. That is, until we arrive with our kids!

An historic castle is the centerpiece of Glen Eyrie, and we'll gather in its Great Hall for community meals, opening and closing presentations, and our talent show. The Adult Program's Roundtables will also be held in the Castle, and we'll make use of three other buildings on the former estate — Big Horn, The Oaks, and Carriage House. All the group spaces are two-story rooms with tall stone fireplaces, exposed wood beams, and floor-to-ceiling windows. A door opens from each onto a patio area with fantastic views.

Beautiful outdoor spaces will give us plenty of spaces to gather in nature, from the Castle's grand terrace to grassy lawns for the kids to play on. Two or three parents can get together and chat under a shady tree while watching the bighorn sheep graze. Between scheduled activities, we can relax on the Castle terrace. We can hike through the canyon to Dorothy Falls and splash around in sun-drenched pools (if the rock-filled creek has water flowing).

There is wireless Internet access throughout the property, but no TVs in the room (and who will miss it, when we are surrounded by towering red rocks?). Five minutes away there are plenty of fast food, grocery, drug, and chain stores available, yet within Glen Eyrie there is a feeling of total serenity. With delicious meals provided and a coffee shop and sundries store available on-site at the Carriage House, you'll likely feel no desire to leave, until the Retreat is over, all too soon.
